In a strategic move aimed at significantly boosting Nigeria’s oil and gas production capacity, Conoil Producing Limited has entered into a major partnership with TotalEnergies Limited to execute a large-scale production contract.
The landmark agreement was formally sealed on Thursday during a high-level ceremony held at La Défense in Paris, France. Representing Conoil Producing was its Chairman, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr.—a distinguished Commander of the French Légion d’Honneur (CdrLR)—who signed the contract on behalf of the company. On the side of TotalEnergies, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Patrick Pouyanné, signed the agreement for the multinational energy giant. The signing took place at the TotalEnergies global headquarters, which served as the venue for the event.
The partnership underscores a shared commitment by both companies to accelerate energy development, enhance production efficiency, and strengthen Nigeria’s position within the global oil and gas market.
