NYSC Begins Nationwide Verification for Foreign-Trained Graduates Ahead of 2025 Batch ‘C’ Mobilisation

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the commencement of nationwide physical verification of credentials and travel documents for foreign-trained Nigerian graduates who registered for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Service Year.

According to a statement released by the NYSC Management and shared via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday night, the verification exercise will take place from Monday, November 10, to Wednesday, November 12, 2025, across designated centres nationwide.

The statement, titled “Notification of Physical Verification of Credentials and Travel Documents of Foreign-Trained Graduates for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Service Year,” explained that the exercise is for Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) whose documents are yet to be physically verified after completing their online registration.

The designated verification centres include:

NYSC Secretariat, 2 Abakaliki Road, GRA, Enugu

Shadawanka Military Barracks, Bauchi

NYSC Orientation Camp, Kubwa, Abuja

Bukavu Military Barracks, Fagge, Airport Road, Kano

NYSC Orientation Camp, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos

NYSC Secretariat, New Ikirun Road, Osogbo

Eagle Officers Mess, Gingiya Military Barracks, Sokoto

NYSC Secretariat, Federal Secretariat Complex, Yola

“As part of the measures to ensure orderliness and avoid overcrowding, Prospective Corps Members are expected to strictly report on the date, time, and venue specified on their verification slip,” the NYSC said.

The Corps directed all participants to present original copies of their credentials and travel documents as uploaded online during registration. Medical graduates, it added, must also present licenses, registration certificates, and other relevant professional documents.

For those who obtained their qualifications abroad, the NYSC emphasised that original Evaluation Letters issued by the Federal Ministry of Education (where applicable) must be submitted at the NYSC Headquarters in Abuja, with acknowledged copies uploaded online.

The management further warned that only those physically verified and cleared would be eligible for deployment, exemption, or exclusion from national service.

“Only persons physically seen with credentials, physically verified and cleared would be deployed, exempted, or excluded from National Service,” the statement read.

The NYSC also reminded prospective corps members to adhere strictly to instructions and appear at their designated verification centres as scheduled.

The Corps had earlier extended the online registration period for 2025 Batch ‘C’ mobilisation by 48 hours following network challenges faced by applicants. The extended registration window is expected to close by midnight on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

This verification comes amid the NYSC’s renewed efforts to combat certificate forgery and address concerns about degree mills abroad, where some individuals allegedly obtain fake academic qualifications from unaccredited institutions.
