NNPCL Raises Petrol Price to N992 Per Litre, Stations Stop Sales Across Lagos–Ibadan Axis

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has raised the pump price of petrol from N865 to N992 per litre.

As of press time, no official explanation had been issued for the increase.

At several NNPC retail outlets visited by The Nation, attendants were seen adjusting their pumps to reflect the new price. At the NNPC station on Ogunusi Road, Ojodu Berger, workers confirmed they had received instructions to change the price to N992 per litre.

However, a visit to Ibafo along the Lagos–Ibadan expressway revealed that NNPC stations there still displayed the previous price of N875 per litre, though they were not dispensing fuel. Most NNPC outlets across the area were reportedly not selling petrol.
