It is with deep sorrow that I received the news of the passing of former Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, an illustrious son of Edo State and one of Nigeria’s finest security icons.
His distinguished career, marked by integrity, professionalism, and dedication to service, remains a shining legacy for both the Nigeria Police Force and our beloved nation. As a proud son of Edo, he brought honor to our state and demonstrated exemplary leadership throughout his years of service.
At this difficult time, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, the good people of Edo State, and the Nigeria Police Force. May God grant his soul eternal rest and give his loved ones the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
