Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has sounded a strong warning to all public officials in Kano State following the resignation of the Commissioner for Transportation, Alhaji Ibrahim Namadi Dala, over allegations of involvement in securing bail for a suspected drug dealer.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Wednesday, Governor Yusuf expressed deep concern over the incident, emphasizing the strict ethical standards expected from every member of his administration.
The warning was delivered during the 30th Executive Council Meeting held at the Government House, Kano.
Governor Yusuf stressed that his administration will not compromise its stance in the fight against drug abuse, trafficking, and other vices that threaten the youth and the moral fabric of the state.
