A prominent Akwa Ibom cleric, Prophet Francis Udo, has prophesied significant political changes expected to reshape Nigeria’s leadership landscape by 2031, including a presidential ticket featuring Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Prophet Udo, founder of the Prayer Foundation Network with branches across all 31 local government areas of Akwa Ibom State, shared his revelations in an exclusive interview in Uyo on Wednesday.
According to the cleric, God revealed to him in a vision that former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, will emerge as Nigeria’s next President after the tenure of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ends in 2031.
“In the revelation, Kwankwaso will join the ruling All Progressives Congress and will initially be selected as running mate to Tinubu. After Tinubu’s exit, Kwankwaso will then become the APC’s presidential flagbearer and ultimately, the next President of Nigeria,” Prophet Udo stated.
He added that Senate President Godswill Akpabio would be selected as Kwankwaso’s running mate for the 2031 presidential election.
Further predicting changes in Nigeria’s political hierarchy, Prophet Udo said the current Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, would become the next Senate President, while the Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, would be appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Turning to the political future of Akwa Ibom State, the cleric prophesied that Governor Umo Eno would complete a second term and then transition to the Senate, representing the Uyo Senatorial District (Akwa Ibom North East).
However, he foresees a political standoff between Governor Eno and the current Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, as both men will reportedly vie for the same Senate seat.
“In the end, the matter will be resolved,” he predicted, “and Prince Uwah will emerge as Deputy Governor to Obongemem Ekperikpe Ekpo, the current Minister of State for Petroleum (Gas), who will become the Governor of Akwa Ibom in 2031 when power returns to Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.”
He reiterated: “God has clearly shown me that Ekperikpe Ekpo will succeed Governor Umo Eno in 2031, with Uwah serving as his deputy.”
Prophet Udo expressed gratitude to his prayer team for their dedication and to those in government he believes are leading with integrity. He specially praised Dr. Victor Antai, Director of Projects at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), for “using his office to advance the development of Akwa Ibom, rather than as a political tool.”
The cleric concluded by urging Nigerians to remain prayerful and hopeful about the future of the country, noting that divine intervention continues to play a role in shaping the nation’s destiny.
