Neveah Limited Begins Production at Advanced Recycling Plant in Ogun, Achieves 85.1% Purity in First Aluminum Output

Neveah Limited has officially commenced production at its newly completed aluminum and copper recycling facility in Ogun State, Nigeria. The plant, which marks a significant milestone for the company, successfully produced its first batch of aluminum ingots with an impressive purity level of 85.1%, reflecting the high quality Neveah intends to maintain throughout full-scale operations.

The company attributes this achievement to its integration of cutting-edge technology and quality control systems, ensuring every ingot complies with global standards. This positions Neveah to easily access and compete in high-demand international markets, with each product meeting—if not exceeding—export-grade specifications.

> “This milestone is more than just production; it’s a glimpse into our future,” said Mr. Ibidapo Lawal, CEO of Neveah Limited. “We are not just recycling—we are redefining how Africa contributes to the global circular economy.”

The Ogun-based facility is part of a multi-billion Naira investment and is designed to process over 44,000 metric tons of aluminum and copper scrap annually. At full capacity, it is projected to generate over $150 million in export revenue, create 500 direct and more than 6,000 indirect jobs, and reduce carbon emissions by over 377,000 tons per year. These benefits reinforce Neveah’s mission to support both environmental sustainability and Nigeria’s broader economic development goals.

As the plant prepares to ramp up into full production in the coming days, the company’s early success signals a promising trajectory. Neveah’s focus on environmental impact, job creation, and export-led growth also places it at the forefront of Nigeria’s industrial transformation.

Neveah’s performance has already earned it significant recognition on the international stage. The company recently ranked first in the Metals & Mining category and 21st overall in the Financial Times’ 2025 list of Africa’s Fastest-Growing Companies. These accolades highlight Neveah’s strategic execution and global relevance in a fiercely competitive sector.

With the official launch now underway, Neveah is well-positioned to play a transformative role in Nigeria’s circular economy by converting scrap into high-value materials. The company’s efforts are set to not only enhance Nigeria’s export capabilities but also establish a sustainable production model that supports local communities while meeting international demand.
