Nigeria has been ranked third among African countries in the 2025 Global Military Strength Index released by Global Firepower (GFP). The annual index evaluates military capabilities using over 60 factors, including personnel, equipment, budget, logistics, and geography.
Egypt tops the African list, followed by Algeria, while South Africa comes fourth.
