ADC National Chairman Vows to End APC ‘Misrule’, Seeks Alliance with Like-Minded Parties Ahead of 2027 Elections

The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Ralph Nwosu, has declared his party’s readiness to form alliances with other progressive political parties in a bid to end what he described as the “misrule” of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he claims has plunged Nigeria into unprecedented hardship.

Speaking on Saturday through the National Vice Chairman (North-Central), Mr. Peter Edeh, at the Niger State ADC Convergence Meeting and unveiling of the party’s new zonal and state secretariat along the Eastern By-pass in Minna, Nwosu said Nigeria has not had it this bad in over 60 years of independence.

According to him, the APC administration has reduced Nigerians to “beggars feeding from crumbs,” adding that the country is now characterized by hunger, insecurity, frustration, and abuse of power.

“The ADC is committed to providing selfless leadership that will rescue Nigerians from the current hardship. We will not allow this suffering to continue. It’s time to stop the serial abuse of power by the APC government,” Nwosu said.

Also speaking at the event, the Niger State Coordinator of the Coalition for Protection of Democracy (COPDEM), Mr. Chris Oche, described the convergence as a significant step toward building a united front to confront and dismantle anti-people policies under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Oche called on all opposition parties to rally behind the ADC ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that the party would deliver the good governance and civil liberties that Nigerians are yearning for.

Despite the presence of political stakeholders from within and outside Niger State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) were notably absent from the event.

The convergence marked a renewed political drive by the ADC to position itself as a viable alternative ahead of the next electoral cycle, with leaders urging Nigerians not to lose hope in democratic change.
