President Bola Tinubu has announced plans to visit Benue State on Wednesday, in response to the ongoing killings of residents by suspected Fulani pastoralists.
The president made this known on Monday during the commissioning of the Greater Abuja Water Supply Network, Loops 1, 2, 5, and 6, in the Federal Capital City.
“While I sympathise with the people of Benue, I have spoken with the governor, community leaders, and residents, urging them to accept our condolences and remain committed to peace and harmony.
“I have always believed that we are one big family living under the same roof—perhaps in different rooms—but united in our diversity, which should bring prosperity. We must learn to manage our anger and frustrations,” he said.
President Tinubu added, “I will adjust my schedule and visit the people of Benue on Wednesday.”
