He is a distinguished entrepreneur, philanthropist, and political actor whose impact resonates across business, governance, and social development.
A native of Bini, Dr. Aikoriogie holds academic qualifications in Accounting (Associates), Mathematics, Economics, and an MBA, with an honorary doctorate in Leadership and Business from top institutions in Nigeria and the United States.
He has led thriving ventures across information technology, shipping, education, and real estate. His leadership and financial acumen have created employment, empowered youth, and fostered innovation both locally and internationally.
Dr. Aikoriogie’s journey into politics was born out of a deep desire to offer visionary leadership to Edo State.
Before presenting himself as a governorship aspirant under the Labour Party, he led a formidable Global Diaspora Support Group for Peter Obi, championing progressive ideals and engagement. He later emerged as a gubernatorial aspirant in the Labour Party with a clear, actionable development plan.
Subsequently, he joined the National Rescue Movement (NRM) and became the party’s governorship candidate in the 2024 elections, running on a platform of transparency, digital governance, economic revitalisation, and grassroots development.
As the elections approached, Dr. Aikoriogie guided always by the greater good, made the bold decision to withdraw his candidacy and support the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His endorsement was instrumental in the eventual victory of the APC candidate, now the sitting Governor of Edo State.
This selfless act demonstrated his commitment to unity, progress, and the collective interest of Edo above personal ambition.
Through the Dennis Aikoriogie Foundation, he continues to serve the people through medical missions, scholarship schemes, menstrual hygiene campaigns, and community development projects. His legacy is one of vision, compassion, and purposeful action.
