In a heartwarming act of generosity, Dr. Chukwudi Nwigwe, a British-Nigerian philanthropist and International Officer at the University of Northampton, UK, has paid the 2025 NECO registration fees for 50 indigent students from Ezzagu Zone in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The donation, amounting to over ₦1.5 million, was made on May 31, 2025, covering students from several public schools across the zone, including Community Secondary Schools in Azuinyaba, Onunweke, Ezzagu, and others.
Education as a Lifeline
“This act has lifted a heavy burden from our shoulders,” said Nneoma Eze, a beneficiary from Community Secondary School, Azuinyaba. “We are eternally grateful to Dr. Nwigwe for believing in us and investing in our future. We promise to make him proud by excelling in our exams.”
In a powerful show of sustained commitment to education, Dr. Nwigwe has also pledged to sponsor another 50 students for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).
