The Nigerian National League (NNL) has officially lifted the ban that barred fans of Barau FC from attending matches at the Dambatta Stadium in Kano State.
This development was confirmed in a statement issued on Saturday by Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, Media Officer of Barau FC. According to Gwale, the decision was conveyed through an official letter signed by the NNL Chief Operating Officer, Dalu Danlami Alanana, and addressed to the club’s management.
“We acknowledge receipt of a letter from Barau FC dated 30th April, 2025, on the above subject,” the letter read. “The Nigeria National League has granted their request.”
With the restriction now removed, Barau FC supporters are free to return to the stands and cheer their team during home fixtures, beginning with their next match against Wikki Tourists, scheduled for Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
The lifting of the ban is expected to boost morale and support for the home side as they seek to gain momentum in the ongoing NNL campaign.
