The open letter to his Excellency, the executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo by Dr. Dennis Aikoriogie, an APC chieftain is both apt and patriotic.
I write as a living witness to his indefatigable spirit and unwavering commitment to the common good of the people of Edo State.
Let me state here, for the avoidance of doubt, that, although, i am not Edo State by birth but have lived practically all my life in Edo State, from Abudu, in Orhionmwon Local Government to several decades of residency in Benin, I am therefore more of Edo than Delta State.
As a journalist and civil society activist, Dr Dennis Aikoriogie was first introduced to me early last year, by a friend and brother and i immediately found him very committed to the course of the development and progress of Edo State and its citizens.
Once he crossed over from the National Rescue Movement to the All Progressives Congress in support of his Excellency, the now executive Governor of Edo, he immediately redoubled his efforts in every ramification of the word
Youthful, suave and urbane, though, lives overseas, yet has a thoroughly remarkable grasp of the political realities at home and an uncommon interest in the upliftment of the ordinary edolite.
His immense mobilization stratagem, leading to and during the election proper cannot be quantified in any way. From mobilizing observers across local Governments and setting up a situation room, from where real time reports were collated, was in my view, simply immeasurable.
Dr. Dennis Aikoriogie can be an asset to the Government and people of Edo State.
