India to Pakistanis: Exit by April 29 – Visa Services Suspended Amid Terror Tensions

In a bold diplomatic move, India has ordered all Pakistani nationals residing in the country to exit by April 29, citing national security concerns following a recent terror attack.

New Delhi’s Ministry of External Affairs announced the directive on Thursday, stating that visa services for Pakistani citizens have been suspended with immediate effect. “In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, the Government of India has decided to suspend visa services to Pakistani nationals with immediate effect,” the ministry said in a statement.

“All Pakistani nationals currently in India must leave India before the expiry of visas, as now amended,” the statement added.

This decision comes on the heels of a terror incident in Pahalgam, which Indian authorities have directly linked to actors based in Pakistan. While the new measures target civilian visitors, Pakistani diplomats stationed in New Delhi will not be affected by the directive, though India had earlier mandated a reduction in their diplomatic staff.

The move is the latest in a series of escalated actions reflecting growing tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors. Hobnob News will continue to monitor the evolving situation.
