Renowned gospel artist and ordained RCCG pastor, Bolaji Olarewaju—widely known as Big Bolaji or Big B—has passed away at the age of 50. His family confirmed the heartbreaking news on Saturday, revealing that he died on Easter Saturday, April 19, 2025, after a brief illness.
In an official statement released by the family, Big Bolaji was described as a beloved father, husband, brother, and a pillar within the Christian and gospel music communities.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bolaji Olarewaju, affectionately known as ‘Big B,’ a cherished figure in our lives and in the music ministry,” the family wrote. “His sudden departure has left a void that words cannot capture. Bolaji’s life was a radiant blend of faith, love, music, and unwavering dedication to service.”
