Tesla Makes Bold Entrance into Saudi Market as Musk Sparks EV Revolution in Oil-Rich Kingdom

In a significant move, Elon Musk’s electric vehicle giant, Tesla, has officially launched its first showrooms in Saudi Arabia — a country traditionally dominated by petrol-powered cars. Hobnob News reports that showrooms were unveiled in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam on Thursday, marking Tesla’s expansion into the Middle Eastern energy powerhouse.

The launch comes at a time when global sales for Tesla are experiencing a dip, and showrooms in the United States have faced attacks — reportedly due to Musk’s close association with former U.S. President Donald Trump. The electric vehicle company’s stock value has also taken a hit since Musk’s increased involvement with U.S. government affairs.

“Today we are proud to officially launch in the kingdom,” announced Naseem Akbarzada, Tesla’s country manager for Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that the move signals the beginning of a “long-term presence” in the region.

Starting Friday, Tesla will roll out electric vehicle charging stations in the three cities, with more installations planned in the near future.

Saudi Arabia, a key strategic ally of the U.S., has seen strong ties with Trump during his administration, particularly with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The Crown Prince has pledged to funnel $600 billion into U.S. trade and investment, further tightening economic relations.
