Natasha Akpoti Changes Stance, Claims LNG Plants, Not Sexual Harassment Led to Her Suspension

Natasha Akpoti has altered her stance on her political struggles, now asserting that her removal was due to LNG plants she allegedly facilitated in Kogi State, rather than previous claims of sexual harassment. Speaking at her rally, she accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello of plotting to eliminate her politically.

This new claim contradicts the Ministry of Petroleum’s position, which denies her role in any LNG projects, stating that the cited locations were based on existing plants and pipeline infrastructure in Ajaokuta. Her remarks have sparked skepticism, particularly on Facebook, where many users criticized her for inconsistency and potential emotional manipulation.

Previously, Natasha had claimed she was targeted due to sexual harassment allegations against Akpabio, a statement that garnered public sympathy. However, her shift in narrative has led to accusations of political blackmail against the Senate leadership and the Kogi State government.

Her latest remarks have rekindled debates over her credibility, with critics highlighting a pattern of changing narratives to sway public opinion. Many believe her allegations are intended to garner support ahead of upcoming political contests.
