The Honourable Member representing Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency, Rep. Terseer Ugbor, undertook a brief tour of his constituency yesterday, where he attended a community peace meeting and inspected some of his ongoing development projects.

The visit, though unannounced, quickly drew an enthusiastic crowd of supporters who gathered to receive him. Among those who turned out in large numbers were members of the Ushongo Central Youth and the Ugbor Mothers Adagi, two influential community groups that have been strong advocates of grassroots development in the region.

Rep. Ugbor’s arrival was met with cheers and excitement as community members organized themselves to welcome him. Many expressed appreciation for his commitment to the constituency, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, youth empowerment, and peace-building.

Leaders of the Ushongo Central Youth commended the lawmaker for his continued efforts in ensuring youth participation in governance and community development. Similarly, representatives of the Ugbor Mothers Adagi praised him for his focus on social welfare programs that have benefited

women and children across the constituency.

During his remarks, Rep. Ugbor thanked the people for their overwhelming show of support and for recognizing his contributions to the National Assembly. He reiterated his dedication to serving the interests of his constituents and working towards sustainable development.

“The support and encouragement I have received today reaffirm my commitment to ensuring that Kwande/Ushongo continues to witness meaningful progress. I remain devoted to promoting peace and implementing projects that will improve the lives of our people,” he stated.

He further emphasized the importance of peace in driving economic and social development, urging community members to remain united and work together for the betterment of the region.

As part of his visit, Rep. Ugbor inspected several ongoing projects, including road construction, school rehabilitation, and rural electrification initiatives. He expressed satisfaction with the progress of the projects and assured residents of his continued efforts to secure more developmental interventions from the federal government.

To ensure broader engagement with the people, he announced that he had scheduled a more extensive tour of the constituency during the forthcoming Easter period. This, he explained, would allow him to interact more closely with various communities, assess additional needs, and strategize on future development projects.

“I want to assure you all that I will be back during Easter for a more detailed tour. This will enable me to hear directly from you and ensure that your concerns are properly addressed,” he assured.

The event ended on a high note, with community members pledging their continued support for Rep. Ugbor. Many expressed optimism that his leadership would bring even more progress to Kwande/Ushongo and reaffirmed their trust in his ability to represent their interests effectively.

As the Honourable Member departed, chants of appreciation echoed through the gathering, a clear indication of the strong connection he has built with his constituents.
