Sowore: I Rejected Jonathan’s Job Offer

Activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has revealed that he turned down a job offer from former President Goodluck Jonathan. Hobnob News reports on Sowore’s reasoning behind the decision.

Speaking in an interview on Leadership TV’s “State of the Nation,” Sowore stated that he declined the offer due to his reservations about the individuals within Jonathan’s administration.

“When Goodluck became president, he sent a man to come look for me in Breton with money, but I declined, telling him I cannot work with the people under his administration,” Sowore said.

He explained that his decision was rooted in his past involvement with a friend who actively challenged the political establishment during the tenure of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

Sowore indicated that Jonathan was the only political figure he might have considered working with, but ultimately, he maintained his refusal to join the administration.
