Two young men lost their lives in a tragic accident when a stray cow ran out of the bush and collided with their motorcycle along the Ile-Oluji-Ondo Itanla road in Ondo State.
The incident happened around 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, while the victims were transporting a bag of cocoa from Ile-Oluji to Ondo City on a motorcycle, commonly called a “Lady’s Bike.”
An eyewitness told Hope Newspaper, a state-owned publication, that the cow suddenly dashed out of the bush, crashing into the motorcycle and killing both men instantly.
According to the source, the herder, identified as a Fulani man, fled into the bush with his cattle immediately after the accident.
Passersby reportedly hesitated to assist, fearing possible repercussions.
The identities of the deceased have yet to be confirmed.
