Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has urged residents of Kwande Local Government Area, particularly the women protesting against the deteriorating security situation, to remain calm as his administration intensifies efforts to restore peace and stability.

He condemned the attacks as remorseless barbarism and assured residents that his government is working tirelessly to put an end to the violence.
I share your pains, and I assure you that we will step up our respons”and promptly, too. Read my lips: the remorseless barbarity of these assailants and their sponsors will soon be a thing of the past, Governor Alia declared.
Reaffirming his commitment to the people of Kwande, Ukum, and the entire state, he emphasized that his administration has never abandoned them and will not do so. He vowed to rid Benue of armed invaders and ensure lasting peace for all communities.
The Governor also extended his sympathies to the victims of the recent attacks and called on security agencies to redouble their efforts in apprehending those responsible. He urged them to take decisive action to protect innocent lives and safeguard the state’s peace.
Furthermore, Governor Alia issued a strong warning to those using his name to create division and controversy in Kwande and other areas. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving all Benue people.
