The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended nine individuals suspected of involvement in internet fraud in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
In a statement released on Tuesday, EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, confirmed that the suspects were arrested at two locations—Sunnyville Estate in Lokogoma and Open Heaven Estate in Dawaki.
During the raid, operatives seized various items linked to fraudulent activities, including four luxury vehicles, laptop computers, iPads, and mobile phones.
“The suspects were arrested on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at two estates in the FCT. Recovered items include four high-end cars, laptops, iPads, and mobile devices. They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed,” the statement read.
The EFCC reaffirmed its commitment to tackling cybercrime and ensuring that perpetrators face the full weight of the law.
