Armed individuals impersonating operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have allegedly abducted 10 people from White Hill Hotel on Shiroro Road in Chanchaga Local Government Area, Niger State.
According to intelligence sources who spoke with security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the incident took place around 4:58 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2025.
The armed men reportedly raided the hotel, falsely identifying themselves as EFCC personnel on an official assignment.
Sources revealed that before gaining access to guests’ rooms, the suspects disabled the hotel’s CCTV cameras and forcibly took 10 individuals to an undisclosed location.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Intelligence Department (Acpol SID), confirmed that investigations were underway to identify those responsible and locate the missing victims.
Authorities have urged the public to remain alert and report any suspicious activity as efforts to unravel the attack continue.
A news agency attempted to reach EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale for a statement, but his phone was switched off at the time of reporting.
