I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on the completion of his first 100 days in office.
In these 100 days, Governor Okpebholo has displayed exceptional leadership, making bold decisions for the advancement of our beloved state. His vision and actions have already begun to create significant improvements in Edo, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, security, healthcare, education, and agriculture.
Among the remarkable achievements are the commencement of major road projects like the Ramat Park flyover and Temboga Road, the substantial increase in funding for Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, and decisive action in tackling security challenges with enhanced policing and the dismantling of criminal networks. These actions, alongside groundbreaking healthcare initiatives like the launch of the National Obstetrics Fistula Centre and improved state health insurance, prove the Governor’s commitment to the well-being of every Edo citizen.
His strategic focus on economic empowerment, with initiatives like the Edojobs program and support for small businesses, will undoubtedly foster growth and prosperity. I am particularly proud of my decision to step aside from my political aspirations to support this dynamic administration—Governor Okpebholo’s progress in just 100 days confirms that the right choice was made.
As we celebrate this milestone, I call on all Edo people, both at home and in the Diaspora, to continue offering their unwavering support to Governor Okpebholo. Together, we can build a brighter future for Edo State.
