In a bold move aimed at significantly enhancing agricultural productivity and improving the livelihoods of farmers and pastoralists in Kwannde/Ushongo Federal Constituency, Benue State, Hon. Terseer Ugbor has launched a comprehensive training program. The initiative, designed to equip local farmers with essential tools and knowledge, is being facilitated in partnership with SPATRUK INTERNATIONAL COMPANY LIMITED.
The event took place yesterday at Ghasarah Hall in Adikpo , Kwande Local Government.
This ambitious program, which aims to address the challenges facing local farmers while improving agricultural practices, is one of the largest endeavors undertaken in the Constituency . Hon. Ugbor, house of representative member of the constituency, stated that the initiative is a crucial part of the broader effort to bolster food production and fight hunger—key components of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration’s mandate.
During the event, Hon. Ugbor, represented by his Senior Legislative Aid Ajai Francis expressed his unwavering commitment to the development of Kwannde/Ushongo. He referred to the training program as one of the biggest and most impactful projects for the people of the constituency, noting that it directly addresses the region’s agricultural needs. Hon. Ugbor emphasized that the goal of this initiative is to empower farmers with the right resources and knowledge to boost agricultural output, which will in turn improve food security, reduce hunger, and enhance the overall well-being of the community.
The partnership with SPATRUK INTERNATIONAL COMPANY LIMITED is central to the program’s success. The company, known for its contributions to agricultural development, has provided a variety of essential tools and equipment to be distributed to beneficiaries. Among the items included are knapsack sprayers, APK fertilizers, herbicides,Digital Drones and other vital farming tools that will help farmers optimize their productivity.
Hon. Ugbor took the opportunity to urge beneficiaries of the program to make judicious use of the resources provided to them. He stressed that the new farming equipment will help enhance their agricultural practices, leading to better yields and increased income. He encouraged them to take full advantage of the training and resources available, highlighting that the success of the project depends on their active participation and dedication.
“I urge you all to use the tools and knowledge you are receiving today to improve your farming practices. This initiative is about securing the future of agriculture in our constituency and ensuring that you, the farmers, are better equipped to succeed,” Hon. Ugbor’s Senior Legislative Aid Aijai Francis conveyed on his behalf.
Among the beneficiaries of the program, Mrs.Comfort Tar expressed immense gratitude to Hon. Ugbor for his efforts in providing the community with such a transformative opportunity. She thanked the Member of Parliament for his foresight in organizing the program and for offering valuable resources that will undoubtedly improve her farming practices.
