The North Central Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cautioned aggrieved members and groups to desist from denigrating President Bola Tinubu, National Chairman of APC, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, and other high-ranking chieftains of the party.
The warning was issued in a statement jointly signed by the National Vice Chairman of APC North Central, Mu’azu Bawa Rijau, and the Zonal Secretary, Yakubu Adamu. This move comes after Tinubu and other top APC leaders faced criticism from several political groups and party bigwigs, including Nasir El-Rufai and Rotimi Amaechi.
El-Rufai claimed that the APC has become a “zero-man show,” while Amaechi warned Nigerians to be prepared to defend their mandate in the forthcoming 2027 election, stating that politicians will stop at nothing to remain in power.
The statement condemned the attacks on Akume by sponsored groups, describing them as “unrecognised,” “usurpers,” and “interlopers.” The leadership expressed confidence in Akume and the five elected governors in the zone, acknowledging their contributions to the party’s growth.
The APC North Central Chapter warned that failure to desist from insulting party leaders would attract sanctions, applauding the Dr Abdullahi Ganduje-led National Working Committee for providing direction. They reaffirmed their loyalty to the party’s ideals and vision, praying for the success of President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda”.
