In a significant move to boost economic growth and infrastructure development in the North-Central region, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has signed a bill establishing the North-Central Development Commission (NCDC). The signing of the bill was announced by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during a plenary session on Tuesday.

Akpabio expressed optimism that the commission would drive development at the grassroots level, saying, “Let me also inform my colleagues that Mr. President has assented to the North-Central Development Commission establishment bill 2024, aimed at bringing development to the grassroots”.
