Abia State Governor, Mr. Alex Otti, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to healthcare, citing it as a top priority. Otti made this statement while receiving a delegation from Belgium’s Revive Medical Team, who visited Abia State for the second time on a medical mission ¹.
The governor expressed gratitude to the medical team for fulfilling their promise to return for another free medical mission. He noted that the feedback from last year’s mission was overwhelmingly positive. Otti emphasized that his administration has made significant strides in improving the healthcare delivery system in Abia State since 2023, but acknowledged that there is still room for improvement.
During the visit, Otti announced plans to flag off the reconstruction of 200 Primary Healthcare Centres, which are expected to be completed within 100 days. This initiative aims to rehabilitate and retrofit all 948 primary healthcare centres in Abia State.
