As the people of Benue State reflect on the recent past, they remember the challenges that plagued the state, including unpaid salaries, suffering, and despair. The consequences were dire, with families struggling to make ends meet, children dropping out of school, and some even losing their lives.
However, with the inauguration of Governor Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, the narrative has changed dramatically. Governor Alia’s commitment to paying workers’ salaries as and when due is a breath of fresh air, reminiscent of the biblical story of Joseph, who saved Israel from famine.
Like Joseph, Governor Alia has demonstrated exceptional leadership, wisdom, and compassion, bringing hope to a people who had lost it. The scriptures are replete with stories of leaders who rose to the challenge in times of crisis. In 1 Samuel 7:3-4, the prophet Samuel led the Israelites to repentance, and God delivered them from the hands of the Philistines.
Similarly, Governor Alia’s leadership is a testament to the power of divine intervention. As the good people of Benue State, we must recognize that Governor Alia’s administration is a divine arrangement, designed to bring succor to our beleaguered state.
We must rally around him, resist any distractions, and support his efforts to rebuild our state. The Benue State Public Procurement Commission, under the leadership of the Director-General Engr, Dr. Comfort Adadu, is committed to transparency, accountability, and value for money in public procurement processes.
We believe that Governor Alia’s administration shares these values and is committed to delivering good governance to our people. We urge all Benue State indigenes to stand with Governor Alia’s administration as he strives to rebuild our state and restore its lost glory.
Let us resist any attempts to distract him from his noble mission and pray for God’s continued guidance and wisdom as he leads our state. We must not forget that Governor Alia’s administration is a new dawn for Benue State, a time of hope and renewal.
Let us seize this opportunity to rebuild our state, restore its lost glory, and create a brighter future for ourselves and our children.
