The Delta State Police Command has paraded a 31-year-old man, Benedict Toju Ogheneovo, who accused police officers of causing the disappearance of his manhood. The incident took place at Ekpan Division in Uvwie Local Government Area and was addressed by the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe.
SP Edafe revealed that Ogheneovo and two other individuals were stopped, searched, and released by operatives from Ekpan Division on January 13. However, the situation escalated when Ogheneovo returned, claiming the officers had made his manhood disappear.
Speaking on the matter, SP Edafe stated, “Only for them to come back and this Benedict, they’re three in number. But this particular suspect, Benedict Toju Ogheneovo, alleged that the Policemen had made his manhood disappear. They were all brought to the station where he insisted that his manhood had disappeared.”
The divisional police officer (DPO) took action by recording the suspects’ statements and sending Ogheneovo for a medical examination. The examination confirmed that his manhood was intact. SP Edafe explained, “The DPO in his wisdom, recorded their statements and presented him to medical examination where it was discovered that his manhood is actually intact. I interviewed him and he said it was psychological trauma.”
In a discussion with journalists, Ogheneovo admitted his manhood was intact and functional. However, when asked if he had tested it, he replied, “No.”
The incident has drawn attention, highlighting the bizarre accusation and its resolution through medical confirmation and further clarification by the police.
