A Nigerian citizen, Bernard Terkula, has sworn to an affidavit in the Upper Area Court Gbajimba Guma local government Area of Benue State, seeking correction of his wrongly spelled name and removal of an extra name on his National Identification Number (NIN). According to the affidavit, Terkula’s correct name is Bernard Terkula, but it was wrongly captured as Bennarid Mike Terkula during his NIN registration.
Terkula stated that he had made efforts to correct the error but was unsuccessful, leading him to swear to the affidavit. He appealed to the relevant authorities to effect the correction and removal of the extra name, Mike, from his NIN.
