The Abia State Police Command has reactivated its Radio Communications Office to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This move aims to enhance the command’s response to security emergencies and better serve the state’s residents in 2025.
According to Police Public Relations Officer Maureen Chinaka, the reactivation is designed to ensure seamless communication across the state. Necessary equipment has been installed, and outdated systems replaced to facilitate efficient communication.
Commissioner of Police Danladi Isa emphasized the critical role the Communications Department plays in maintaining security across Abia. He urged officers to remain duty-conscious, proactive, and diligent in their responsibilities.
Isa mandated the control room to remain operational round the clock, with a technician available daily to address technical challenges promptly. He warned against laxity, indiscipline, and negligence among officers, stressing that such misconduct would not be tolerated. Strategic Officers who fail to respond promptly to directives will face disciplinary actions.
