Controversial activist and online police, Martins Otse more popularly known based VeryDarkMan or VDM has finally addressed his earlier comments on the missing 180 million naira MVOIS NGO funds.
Recall that the social critic came to the media to allege that hackers compromised his NGO website and carted away with 180 million naira out of the 200 million naira. He averred that one person was arrested and he’s on his way to Jos, Plateau State to apprehend another suspect. He mentioned a certain officer who is helping him to get to root of the case. His assertion drew public outrage with a section of the media insinuating he was trying to play smart by mismanaging the funds.
VDM in a video has now claimed that the presumed missing ₦180 million was just a prank to demonstrate how the media can be misleading.
He cited an example where President Tinubu was alleged to be building a military base in Maiduguri, and how Nigerians believed the story without questioning its validity.
He also criticized David Hundeyin for distracting people with unnecessary information and going fly with unverified hearsay.
Regarding the Lilsmat case, he stated that Lilsmat was “chasing clout” and that there were controversies surrounding the issue
. However, he clarified that no police officer was mentioned, and that the term “officer” could refer to anyone, including a tax force officer.
Furthermore, he emphasized that no money was missing and that Zenith Bank was not involved. He criticized the police for debunking a report that was never made to them.
