In a significant move to provide relief to Nigerians, Dangote Refinery has joined forces with MRS petrol stations to offer Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at a reduced price of N935 per litre across the country.
The Dangote Group announced this partnership through its official X account, emphasizing that the initiative ensures the reduced price reaches end consumers. According to the statement, the revised pricing has already commenced in Lagos and will extend nationwide starting Monday.
Dangote Refinery recently lowered the ex-depot price of PMS from N970 to N899.50 at its loading gantry and introduced favorable credit terms to fuel marketers. These measures aim to mitigate the financial strain on Nigerians while ensuring accessibility to affordable petroleum products.
Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Industries Limited, urged other oil marketers, including NNPC Retail and independent marketers, to collaborate in delivering high-quality petrol at discounted rates to Nigerians.
“Our mission at Dangote Refinery is to benefit Nigeria and Nigerians. We remain committed to working with key stakeholders in the value chain to ensure high-quality petroleum products are available at affordable prices. Our goal is for every Nigerian to have access to products that are not only budget-friendly but also good for their vehicles and health,” Dangote stated.
The initiative highlights Dangote Refinery’s commitment to fostering affordable energy solutions while collaborating with industry players to benefit the Nigerian populace.
