The North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office. This decision was made after a meeting in Abuja, where the Forum expressed satisfaction with Tinubu’s leadership in infrastructure, security, and appointments.
According to the group, no administration since Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999 has provided as many benefits to the North-Central zone as Tinubu’s. The endorsement comes despite opposition from the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) and its youth wing, Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), which have voiced dissatisfaction with Tinubu’s policies.
The APC Forum expressed confidence in Tinubu’s ability to revamp Nigeria’s economy, citing the recent strengthening of the Naira, improvement in oil production, and rise in foreign reserves. The group believes that Tinubu’s policies will eventually turn things around and deserves a second term to consolidate on the reforms already initiated.
