Rodri Cascante, the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner, has expressed his admiration for Real Madrid, describing the club as the most successful in history. The Manchester City and Spain midfielder emphasized that Real Madrid is a club that commands attention and respect.
Speaking to @ellarguero, Rodri stated, “When Real Madrid call you, the best club in history and the most successful, it makes you proud and you always have to listen. It is obvious. You always have to pay attention.”
Rodri’s comments come amid speculation about his potential future with Real Madrid. The 28-year-old midfielder is currently recovering from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear in his right knee, which he sustained during a league match against Arsenal.
Despite his injury, Rodri remains optimistic about his comeback, aiming to return to action this season. He hopes to be fit in time for the UEFA Nations League matches or the FIFA Club World Cup.
