Olajumoke Orisaguna, widely recognized as ‘Olajumoke Onibread,’ has made a triumphant return to public life, this time as a radio presenter. The former bread seller turned model has joined City FM, where she hosts her own talk show, “Kilon Shele”.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Olajumoke expressed heartfelt gratitude to her supporters, especially acclaimed photographer TY Bello, who played a pivotal role in her rise to fame in 2016. Olajumoke became an overnight sensation after she unknowingly walked into a photo shoot featuring British rapper Tinie Tempah, captured by TY Bello.
During the event, Olajumoke candidly recounted the financial hardships and exploitation she faced, emphasizing the challenges stemming from her lack of formal education. Speaking in Yoruba, she revealed her desire to further her education while using her platform to inspire others.
Her show, “Kilon Shele”, will highlight her journey of self-discovery, struggles with exploitative managers, and her emotional battles during her time away from the spotlight. The program will also feature empowering conversations with guests who have overcome similar challenges.
“I want to use my platform to share my story—the good and the bad. I want to show that even in the darkest moments, there’s hope for a brighter tomorrow. My show will be a source of inspiration for those who’ve faced similar struggles,” she said.
Olajumoke’s comeback underscores her resilience and determination to transform her challenges into a message of hope and empowerment for others.
