Between April and June 2024, 2,404 crashes occurred, resulting in the deaths of 1,305 Nigerians. North-Central zone_: Recorded the highest number of crashes with 867, accounting for the highest number of casualties at 3,020.
South-West zone_: Followed with 661 crashes and 2,019 casualties.

Males, including male children, accounted for 82.45% of the fatalities, with 1,076 deaths.
Females, including female children, accounted for 17.55% of the fatalities, with 229 deaths.
