In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a software engineer, Olu Marshal, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos. Marshal was apprehended on Tuesday, November 5, while attempting to collect a 700-gram consignment of Loud, a potent strain of cannabis.
A subsequent search of his Lekki home uncovered drug paraphernalia, including a cannabis crusher, according to Femi Babafemi, NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy. This arrest is part of a larger operation by the NDLEA to combat drug trafficking in Nigeria.
These arrests and seizures demonstrate the NDLEA’s commitment to combating drug trafficking and ensuring public safety in Nigeria.
