Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu State, has sounded the alarm on Nigeria’s worsening economic situation, citing rising fuel prices and potential famine. During the commissioning of Blessed Omemma Oil and Gas Limited in Enugu, Mbaka emphasized the need for urgent prayers and government action.
“We need more prayers for Nigeria to be well. What we’re facing now is hunger, but if we’re not careful, we could face famine.”
The cleric’s concerns echo widespread anxiety over Nigeria’s economic challenges. With inflation rates soaring and fuel prices increasing, many Nigerians struggle to afford basic necessities.
“Invest your money wisely; don’t leave it in the bank where it will keep devaluing.”
He emphasized the importance of prudent financial decisions amidst economic uncertainty.
“The government knows what they need to do about the fuel hike. One solution from them can overcome these toxic situations, and that’s why I emphasize the power of prayer.”
As Nigeria grapples with economic hardship, Fr. Mbaka’s message serves as a rallying cry for collective action and prayer.
