In a bold move against corruption, Edo State youths have given their full backing to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to arrest anyone linked to the looting of the state’s treasury. Comr. Abdulrasak Idodo Emmanuel, who rallied the youths, emphasized that granting permission to these agencies is crucial in the fight against corruption .

This stance demonstrates the youths’ commitment to transparency and accountability in governance, particularly in the management of state finances. They are demanding justice and transparency, urging the EFCC, ICPC, and other relevant agencies to take immediate action against those who have mismanaged the state’s resources.

The youths specifically pointed to the outgoing government of Governor Godwin Obaseki, accusing it of embezzling state funds, hindering development, and impoverishing the people.
