In a dedicated effort to uplift the educational standards of Gwer West LGA, Hon. Ormin Torsar Victor, the Executive Chairman, today the 1st day of November, 2024 inspected the Gwer West Area Education Office located within the Padopads Vocational Center. His visit underscored his commitment to fostering a high-quality educational environment for primary and secondary students across Gwer West LGA.
Welcoming the Chairman, Area Education Officer Comr. John Juhul expressed gratitude for the visit, noting its timely significance. He detailed the pressing challenges faced by the office, including the deteriorating condition of their facilities and unauthorized encroachment on government land surrounding the office. As a representative of the Ministry of Education and Knowledge Management in Naka, Comr. Juhul emphasized the importance of providing students with quality and conducive learning environment and outlined the office’s role in supervising schools to ensure educational quality. At the close of his address, he presented Hon. Ormin with a documented list of requests aimed at improving their operational effectiveness.
Comr. Juhul also outlined the various agencies sharing the Padopads Secretariat premises with them, which include:

3. Ministry of Education and Knowledge Management (Area Education Office)

In response, Hon. Ormin commended Comr. Juhul’s dedication and proactive approach in formally presenting the office’s needs, describing him as an intelligent and visionary leader. Assuring prompt action, the Chairman pledged to create a suitable working environment for the Area Education Office. Additionally, he committed to addressing the land encroachment issues, ensuring that government assets are preserved for their intended use.
