The IDF has announced that Suhail Hussein Husseini, head of Hezbollah’s logistical headquarters, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut. Husseini commanded the headquarters overseeing Hezbollah’s logistics and budgeting. He was also a member of Hezbollah’s Jihad Council, the group’s top military body.
“Husseini played a crucial role in weapon transfers between Iran and Hezbollah and was responsible for distributing the advanced weaponry among Hezbollah’s units, overseeing both the transportation and allocation of these arms,” the IDF stated.
The military added that Husseini managed budgeting and logistics for Hezbollah’s sensitive projects, including war plans and special operations like coordinating terrorist attacks from Lebanon and Syria. The headquarters also housed Hezbollah’s R&D, responsible for manufacturing precision-guided missiles.
The IDF confirmed Husseini’s significance in Hezbollah’s operations.
