The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has been arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Ajaero was about to depart for the United Kingdom to attend the Trade Union Congress (TUC) conference when DSS operatives swooped on him.
The reasons for his arrest are unknown, but he has been transferred to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).
