Aliko Dangote, chairman of Dangote Industries Limited, has announced that the federal executive council (FEC) will determine the price of petrol produced by his refinery. This statement was made on Tuesday during a press conference in Lagos, following the official announcement of the start of petrol production.
Dangote explained that the pricing will be determined by an arrangement designed and approved by the FEC, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He also stated that once the details are finalized with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), the product could be released to the market as soon as today or tomorrow.
Additionally, Dangote emphasized that the petrol produced at the refinery will be of high quality, comparable to products from other refineries worldwide.
This development comes as a significant milestone in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, with the Dangote refinery poised to make a substantial impact on the country’s petroleum market.
