A law firm representing the victims has written to the army authorities, demanding justice and compensation.
According to the letter, the politicians have been misusing army personnel, instructing them to carry out unlawful activities, including beating and molesting citizens. This has dragged the reputation of the Nigerian Army into disrepute.
The victims are demanding N5 million in compensation for the dehumanizing treatment meted out to them. They are also calling for disciplinary action against the errant personnel.
