Jailed former Nigerian Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu is under investigation by the London Metropolitan Police in a new case linked to him, according to a documentary titled “Daniel vs Ekweremadu.”
Ekweremadu, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for human trafficking last year, is facing a new investigation, although details are scarce due to the ongoing probe.
The documentary reveals that a woman was arrested in November 2022 on suspicion of conspiracy to exploit for organ harvesting but has since been released under investigation.
The police have declined to comment on the case, but the documentary sheds light on the circumstances surrounding Ekweremadu’s conviction and his fall from deputy senate president to convict.
The two-part docu-series features exclusive access to British prosecutors, police, and the family of the survivor-victim, known as “Daniel,” and is available on streaming platforms.
This new development adds to Ekweremadu’s legal woes, as he continues to serve his 10-year sentence for human trafficking.
