Presidential candidate Peter Obi has praised the rescue of medical students and corps members recently abducted in separate incidents. Obi thanked security agencies for their efforts in securing the release of the 20 medical students in Benue State and the 8 National Youth Corps Members in Zamfara.
While welcoming the rescues, Obi emphasized the need for proactive measures to prevent future kidnappings and bring perpetrators to justice. He urged the government and security agents to declare war on insecurity, citing recent attacks on farmers and communities.
Obi stressed that a new and secure Nigeria is possible, calling on the government and security agents to take the lead in protecting citizens’ lives and properties from criminal elements.
