In a remarkable display of academic prowess, 16-year-old Doose Naswem from SORA HEIGHTS, Gboko, Benue State, has emerged the winner of the National Science Quiz Competition for senior secondary school students.
The competition, held at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, in August 2024, saw Doose competing against top students from Oyo, Lagos, FCT, Anambra, Ogun, and other states. Her outstanding performance earned her the first position, bringing pride to her school and state.
Doose, a talented student from Mbangur, Mbadede, Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State, was celebrated by prominent figures, including Dr. Msuur Tofi, Prof James Musa Adejoh, and Dr. Denen Ukor, at the FCT.
This achievement is a testament to Doose’s dedication and hard work, and it highlights the potential of Benue State’s education system. The Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN) conference, where the competition took place, aims to promote science education and recognize exceptional students like Doose.
